Questions and answers
Everything owners ask before they create a help bot. Can't find yours? Ask @AskHelpCenterBot, our own help bot.
Trust and safety
Is HelpCenter official Telegram support?
No. HelpCenter is an independent product and is not affiliated with Telegram. It will never ask for your login code or password. For problems with your Telegram account itself, use Telegram's own support in Settings.
What data do you store?
As little as possible: your Telegram ID and language, your help bot and its FAQ. Questions, answers, FAQs and bot tokens are encrypted, and questions are deleted after 90 days. We don't sell data, show ads, or use your messages to train AI. The Privacy Policy lists everything.
Which AI does it use?
DeepSeek's language model. It receives your FAQ and the member's question, not Telegram names or IDs.
Can it give a wrong answer?
It answers only from your FAQ and is told never to invent prices or promises. AI can still misread a question, so keep your FAQ clear. You see every question it couldn't answer.
Can I delete everything?
Yes. Send /deletemydata to @HelpCenterBot to delete everything about you and your bots, or delete one bot's data from 🤖 My bots. Members can send /forgetme to your bot to delete their questions.
Setting up
Do I need to code?
No. Everything happens inside Telegram. On a phone you create your bot with one tap.
Does it work on desktop and web Telegram?
Yes. Some desktop and web apps can't show the one-tap create button. Then @HelpCenterBot walks you through creating the bot with @BotFather in a few steps.
How do I give it my FAQ?
Forward your pinned post, rules or price list, paste text, or send a .txt or .docx file with 📨 Import. HelpCenter turns it into questions and answers for you to check before saving. You can also start from a template (Selling ads, or Shop / orders) or write it yourself. A FAQ can be up to 10,000 characters.
How do members find my bot?
Share its link. In @HelpCenterBot, 📣 Tell your members gives you a ready post with an Ask button to forward to your channel or group and pin. You can also put the link in your bio.
Is the bot mine?
Yes. It's created in your own Telegram account, named after your community, and can use its photo. HelpCenter runs it for you while you use the service.
Using it
Which languages does it speak?
Any language your members write in. Each member gets the answer in their own language, even if your FAQ is in another one. The menus in @HelpCenterBot are available in 24 languages.
What if the bot doesn't know the answer?
It tells the member it has passed the question on and sends it to you in your bot's chat. Reply to that message and the member gets your answer. Tap Add to FAQ, and the bot checks that it can answer it next time.
Can it answer inside my group?
Not yet. Today members ask it in a private chat. Answers inside groups that only the person who asked can see are planned for Pro.
Are there limits?
The free plan includes 1 help bot and 1,000 AI answers a month. Each member can ask up to 30 questions a day. When a limit is reached, the bot passes questions to you instead of answering.
Can I pause my bot?
Yes. In 🤖 My bots you can pause and resume it at any time. While it's paused, members are told it's unavailable.
Pricing
How much does it cost?
The free plan is free. Pro is coming soon for 1,000 Stars a month, and founding members keep 750 Stars a month for as long as they stay. See pricing.
